But to Him who is able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power which operates in us. - Eph 3:20

Economy of God

" Although the Lord does grant us teachings and gifts, all during the day we need to seek to return to our spirit and contact Christ as
our everything!"

In our home meeting we recently enjoyed a book called "The Economy of God." The main point of the book is that God intends to work Himself into us, His believers. The place where He dispenses Himself is our spirit. The human spirit is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and these two spirits are mingled together to be one spirit. When we are able to exercise our spirit, we contact the Lord. Then, we can be permeated and saturated with the Lord and be transformed into His image. Because Christ is living in us, even our mortal bodies can be revived by the divine Spirit that is dwelling within our spirit!

The enemy is always trying to frustrate us from discerning our spirit and enjoying the Lord. It's easy to become occupied with other things. Sometimes we are occupied with "doing good." Or we can be preoccupied with teachings, doctrines and gifts. Religion with its rules and regulations can also blind us from loving the Lord. We should say, "I only know one thing: I am a branch and He is the vine. I have to abide in Him and let Him abide in me." Day by day we are learning to know the wonderful triune God, the all inclusive, unsearchable Christ. Although the Lord does grant us teachings and gifts, all during the day we need to seek to return to our spirit and contact Christ as our everything! This is the mark of God's economy: The Lord Himself is the goal that we seek. By contacting God in our spirit, we will be occupied with God, filled with God and be one with God in everything. Praise the Lord for His wonderful Spirit which indwells us!
